Islands in the forest
Thinking about the Ville-forests, you may have old-growth mixed oak forests with large oaks in mind. But there are more fascinating natural habitats to be found in the project area.
Natural Habitat: water
In the winter and early spring you can see how important water is for the Villeforests. You will find a lot of temporary shallow surfaces of water on the forest floor, while the drainage ditches along the forest roads are filled with water.
